By Subway

The A, C, E, 1, and 9 trains all stop at various points along Canal.

By Bus

From Battery Park downtown, take the M20 which runs up Hudson Street, or the M6, which runs up Church Street. From uptown, take the M20 along Seventh Avenue/Varick Street, or the M1 down Broadway. You can also catch the M22, which runs cross-town in both directions along Chambers Street.

By Car

Like most of Manhattan, it’s best reached by taxi or public transportation, although there are a good number of public parking lots nearby.

From LaGuardia Airport

Approximately 11.2 miles, allow 25 minutes or up to 40 minutes in traffic

• Exit via LaGuardia Road, and take Grand Central Parkway West
• Take Exit 4 for Brooklyn Queens Expressway toward I-278 W/Staten Island
• Merge onto East Brooklyn Queens Expressway South, continue for 5.5 miles
• Take a left onto Williamsburg Bridge West (there will be signs for Williamsburg  Bridge)
• Take a slight left at Delancy Street (1.9 miles)
• Turn left at Bowery Street, and then right at Canal Street
• Turn left at Broadway, and then right at Leonard Street
• Turn right at Hudson Street, #205 will be on your left (entrance on Canal Street)

From John F. Kennedy International Airport

Approximately 19.9 miles, allow 35 minutes or up to one hour in traffic

• Exit via Terminal 4 and continue on I-678 North for 8.1 miles
• Take Exit 12B for Long Island Expressway/I-495 West
• Merge onto I-495 West for 4.4 miles
• Take the exit onto I-278 West toward Brooklyn for 2.4 miles to the Williamsburg Bridge West
• Take a left onto Williamsburg Bridge West (there will be signs for Williamsburg  Bridge)
• Take a slight left at Delancy Street (1.9 miles)
• Turn left at Bowery Street, and then right at Canal Street
• Turn left at Broadway, and then right at Leonard Street

From Newark International Airport

Approximately 12.6 miles, allow 20 minutes or up to 45 minutes in traffic

• Head northeast on Terminal Access Road
• Merge onto US-1 North/US-9 North via the ramp to State Highway 21 for 7.8 miles
• Continue on Route 139 for 1.7 miles and follow I-78 East (toll road) for 1.9 miles
• Enter Holland Tunnel to New York
• Take Exit 2 for Hudson Street, turn right at Hudson Street, #205 will be on your left (entrance on Canal Street)
